We are so excited for Super Forum - this year it’s November 14 and 15. Since this is our seventh one, we have big things in store -- you won’t want to miss out!
Here are just a few things I’m personally excited for:
This year is all about getting results -- for your team, your organization, and your community members. To achieve those results for everyone, community professionals need to learn how to measure, manage and move the dial. If that interests you and your team at all, you’re in for a treat this year. Get ready to take a lot of notes!
We decided to mix things up a little this year, and chose a new location. I’m sure you’re going to love it! The Renaissance Arlington Capital View Hotel is close to everything -- Higher Logic HQ, Reagan National Airport, the National Mall, and plenty of D.C.’s best museums, restaurants, and hot spots!
Don’t forget to reserve your room so you’re close to all the action.
Feel like your community is stuck in neutral? Our first keynote, Ken Schmidt, will kick you into gear! (Of course, no puns intended ….) He’s the legendary former Director of Communications Strategy at Harley-Davidson Motor Company and isn’t just a community expert -- he’s an excellent speaker. He’ll help us begin the conference, setting us in the right direction so we can go burn some rubber on the road.
When it comes to community results, it’s hard to beat our Community Expert Panel speakers -- David Spinks (CMX Media), Rachel Happe (The Community Roundtable), and Richard Millington (FeverBee). We were lucky enough to feature these thought leaders last year (if you’re curious, check out their keynotes here, here and here). I can only imagine the energy they’ll bring when they’re all on the stage together!
A lot of thought has gone into who to invite and what topics we know our clients will find interesting, and I’m proud of the line-up we have. No matter your interests or needs, we’ve got you covered in our breakout sessions. From “101 for Community Development Research” and “Tackling Analytics Across Multiple Channels,” to “Acing Volunteer Manager,” we have something for everyone on your community team.
Besides all of our AWESOME and educational panels, speakers, and breakout sessions we have in store, one of the most valuable parts of Super Forum is you -- our attendees! While you’re here, we hope you get to know fellow or prospective Huggers. Staying in touch with people will be even easier this year. Our ExpoLogic badges will have QR codes that you can scan to connect with them on HUG. You might recognize their faces from HUG, or they may be brand new to you -- either way, we’re all brought together by our passion for community.
Ok, now do you understand why I’m so excited for this year’s Super Forum? While you wait, check out the Super Forum website, the Resource Center, and our blog so you’re ready to dive right into all the community action!
See you in November!
